It’s a new day! Some of us are not doing great, but…
Last night was historic in many ways, most of which do not make me want to throw a party or celebrate. This is something different about this morning than there was eight years ago. Is it maturity? Probably not. I refuse to grow up and adult. I think it’s more about my outlook and maybe… personal growth? I know it has to be in the decisions I make and the attitude I choose to have.
So, today, I decided to think of a few of the things that I’m super thankful for, and will continue to keep my head up:
- For my husband and my kids, they are the best in every way
- For the rest of my amazing family and everything they are to me!
- For laughing, smiling, and having a sense of humor
- For positivity
- For beauty all around (my favorites, daisies, Fall, mountains, all of it)
- For the holidays, and time to celebrate!
- Discovering new music
- Puppies & Kittens…Dogs AND Cats!
- Pandas, llamas, sloths, penguins, otters, moose, deer… all the animals!
- Freedom to vote our convictions and stand by them
- And so much more!
At this time in history, I’m choosing to be positive that even though things didn’t go the way I hoped they would yesterday, I believe the majority of Americans want the best for our country. Whether or not I agree with them, we need to come together now more than every before for the good of… without sounding too dramatic… humanity.
Here’s to a positive outlook in the days, weeks and months ahead.
Cheers!
